Build Real-World Thinking Skills Through Visual and Verbal Cues!

Help students sharpen their critical thinking and reasoning skills with the Inferences – Double Dice! This engaging resource is designed to teach students how to draw logical conclusions based on visual and contextual clues—an essential skill for academic success and everyday social understanding.

Each card presents a realistic photograph and a short description of a social situation, followed by four inference-based questions that encourage students to interpret what’s happening, why it matters, and what might come next.

Skill Targets:

  • Making logical inferences

  • Understanding cause and effect

  • Interpreting nonverbal cues

  • Improving social reasoning

  • Enhancing auditory and visual processing

How It Works:

  1. Lay out nine cards face down.

  2. The student rolls the double dice.

  3. The outer die shows a shape—flip over the card with the matching shape.

  4. The inner die shows a number (1–4)—read the corresponding situation and question.

  5. The student answers using inferential reasoning.

With 216 total questions, this deck offers abundant opportunities to practice and master inference-making in a fun and motivating format.
